Sep 1st GnomeToaster Documentation update

I just updated the GnomeToaster documentation. Thanks to OpenOffice it even contains some screenshots now which should make reading the docs a lot more fun to do. The documentation is available at http://gnometoaster.rulez.org/documentation/gnometoaster_users_guide.pdf.gz.

Sep 1st GnomeToaster 1.0Beta6 Compilation problem fixed

After playing with the intestines of gettext a bit I made GnomeToaster's internationalization stuff work again. Sorry for the inconvenience, the gtoaster1.0Beta6.tgz archive has meanwhile been replaced by a working version.

Sep 1st Compile problems 1.0Beta6

I'm sorry to tell you that the Beta6 version is most likely not compilable on your computer. The reason for this is a broken GNU gettext installation I did not find out about in time. I'm currently trying to fix these problems but I'm having a strange time here with that stuff.Currently, it bails out with make[2]: *** No rule to make target @CATALOGS@', needed by all-yes'. Stop. after having manually fixed another nice one which was make[2]: *** No rule to make target /config.status', needed by Makefile'. Stop. The reference to /config.status is coming directly from a template copied into ./po by gettextize so I wonder whether the person building that software was drunk. But I'm sure it made some kind of sense to him when he did that :*) Anyway, expect a fixed version to be online sometime today.

Aug 31st Gnometoaster 1.0Beta6 available

Sorry to everybody for not updating GnomeToaster for such a long time, but I've had other business to do (and will continue to ;-)). Nevertheless I promise updates will be more frequent again. This release contains bugfixes mostly but it also features a nice patch provided by a friend of mine, Rolf Schaeuble, to allow users to directly jump into their home directory and even make this their default location when starting GnomeToaster. For a detailed list of changes, see Changes since last release.

Feb 11th GnomeToaster Documentation back online (somewhat)

I just uploaded an updated GnomeToaster User's Guide. It's currently lacking all screenshots as I'm having technical difficulties with StarOffice (6.0 Beta that is, so it's no big surprise really ;-)). It keeps forgetting how to load some of the screenshots on a random basis which can be kind of annoying. Anyway, there's only a PDF right now but it's better to have this sort of thing on your harddrive once and for all anyway (plus I think the download size of about 400kb is reasonable enough). There will be a html version once I get these screenshots to work...
